Is it dangerous for a mother to breastfeed who is COVID-19 positive?

Coronavirus has not been found to be transmitted through breast milk. If the mother is found positive with the disease, there are chances of transmission through droplet infection. Mothers should always follow the given precautions:

1. Always wash your hands thoroughly.
2. Wear a mask while breastfeeding.
3. Opt for breastfeeding pumps and always sanitize them before and after use.
